TUZ LAKE 2014

Albizzati Spa moves to Turkey, to the so called first natural gas storage in this country.

Tuz Gölü Gas Natural Project is run by BOTAŞ and a Chinese Engineering Office, and is intended to provide a balance between offer and demand, on the Turkish natural gas market.

The Gas Sector Development Project for Turkey aims at increasing reliability and stability in the supply of gas, by storing the required quantity of gas and creating a network infrastructure to support Petroleum Pipeline Corporation in strengthening their activities.

The underground gas storage plant of Tuz Gölü exploits underground caverns near Tuz Gölü – a salted lake in the South of Central Turkey. Upon completion, this structure will have a capacity of about 960 millions cubic meters of working gas and 460 millions of “cushion gas” (the quantity of gas required to keep gas inside the caverns and maintain its integrity). This plant will be able to provide 40 million cubic meters of gas per day for a maximum period of 20 days, and to be filled with 30 millions of cubic meters per day for a period of 25 days.

Albizzati Spa aims at creating an ultra-compact facility with high performances, by adopting leading edge solutions and top-notch materials.
